When I say LIFE CHANGING, I mean it.
Anyone who has tasted See’s Candies Butterscotch Gourmet Lollipops knows what I mean, and has been to lollipop heaven.
I recently received a delivery of 15 of these babies from a colleague of my boyfriend’s, (thanks Julia!!) who was in the US over Christmas.
YES, people, it’s true. Unfortunately, these little chunks of creamy, sweet joy are only available in America. Woe is me. I’ve never actually meant that before, but I do now. I am actual woe. I embody woe right now.
It’s such an emotional experience, eating these, because I go from unrivaled culinary joy to dangerously woeful woe when I realise I have to wait an untold amount of time to get more.
People of the US, hear this: (you in particular, Godmother Extraordinaire Tina)
I would be forever indebted to you should a See’s Candies Parcel full of Butterscotch lollies arrive on my doorstep at any point in the future.
I am ready and WILLING to stock-pile, as I am prepared to ration in case of a lollipop drought.
Onwards with the post anyway…
Dear Heinz, I love you and all you represent.
Anyone who knows me well will be aware of my deep love of baked beans.
I, like all bean enthusiasts, have had the problem of half-a-can-itis since I can remember.
ENTER HEINZ and their GENIUS team of inventors.
They created this MASTERPIECE:
And once again, my life is altered for the better, and my bean eating is easier and more bacteria-free than ever before. Wahey!
Onwards once more…
For anyone who recommended a book for me to read over the past few days, I’ve decided to start with One Day by David Nicholls. I went to Easons and got a copy yesterday and will start reading today probably. Can’t wait to love it, I hope I do.
ALSO…
I am running a SUPERB giveaway next week.
A goody bag. Full of goodies. Worth over €100, by the way. So make sure you enter. Totally hope I win.

Oh Ais, Surely you know your godmother and your cousin (plus others) are arriving here in early March … get in there girl and order your little heart out .. lol
Also, I am overjoyed by the beans fridge pack too … I only pegged out a bowl of very old beans the other day and thought, oh I need one of them fridge pack thingies !! Must get one soon.
they’re amazing, I get them all the time now. Cos Bill hates beans so I always used to end up with half a tin.
And as for the lollipops, I’ll be emailing everyone I know in America to request a box. mmm
I hope I win too!! That or my good friend smash will just donate some free shit to me anyway…
you get your arse down to cork and you can raid my many boxes of swag :) xx
count me in for the fridge pack heinz thingy! although as my family are skint, we have to rely on those cheap tins. But, seeing as we all eat baked beans, we never seem to have a 1/2 tin in the fridge calamity that could occur…
AAAAAHHHHHHH I’ve had those lolipops!!! About eight years ago when I was in the states… I was in New York over the summer and didn’t see them, I literally thought it had been so long that I must have been dreaming or hallucinating and made them up…
BUT NO! They are beyond amazing, if someone gave me a box I would eat them all right there and then, I admire your willpower.. ;-)
xx
bahhhh!! I’m terribly excited that someone understands and shares my deep love of these lollipops! Oh my goodness, arent they just divine??? I’m controlling my will power so that the box will last – probably wont get more until US relatives come over in March…. See’s Candies NEED to come to Ireland. x
Butterscotch ones are my fave.. :-) wholeheartedly agree, I’d be there every day!
xx
Haha! I am so impressed with the new Heinz fridge packs!!!! Made my life.
x
The Boy is also quite excited about the bean development…although he eats a whole tin anyway.
I used to eat the full tin, until I realised full tin + 4 waffles + fried egg = fat aisling. :( tell the boy I admire his speedy metabolism. x
